Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

We have been in this place in numerous occasions and never been disappointed. These guys honestly serve the best pizza and pasta in town. The service is outstanding, and they always create something different and delicious for us. Try the fettuccine carbonara or the alfredo sauce pizza, you won't be disappointed.

Great NY style pizza. The 18 inch was enough to feed the whole family. When I'm in Altamonte this is my pizza place of choice.

Seen this place for many years and never went in because I don't each much carbs, but was hankering for a pizza tonight. Got the marguerita pizza and it is outstanding! I'll be back for more!

This place is great. The foods always fresh and the lunch specials are fantastic. Can sometimes be a long wait. So definitely give yourself enough time. But def worth the wait.

Pizza was way, way way too greasy...needed 2 napkins to get the grease off of ONE slice!! Salad was wilted and waitress could have cared. I seriously doubt that I'll go back. There's much better out there.

I am from Philly so I was craving wings and cheesesteak so I ordered. Wings were top notch delicious. Not real hot prefer more heat but perfectly cooked. Cheesesteak was ok not a bad attempt at a philly cheese steak. Would definitely order from there again. Delivery guy was very nice as well.

I live near the Altamonte Springs area and have tried Proccolino's for carryout and delivery. There has never been a time that this restaurant did not take at least double the amount of time given to me for carryout and at least one and a half times the delivery estimate. The food is decent and faithful to New York style. However, the staff is incredibly awful. On this recent order, I ordered the family special (wings, pizza, etc.), which is supposed be around $26. The carryout estimate was 30 minutes -- which is an eternity in and of itself. When I arrived at the restaurant half an hour later, I discovered that the person taking my order rang up each item individually, instead of as a package, which made my order cost over $40 instead of $26. It also took over an hour for the order to be ready. There were several other couples there who had also been waiting close to an hour. When we complained, all the manager did was give us a free piece of cheesecake. Due to the incredible wait, the garlic knots and wings were dry, but the pizza was still pretty good. That's about all I can offer as a positive. I would like to tell you that the food is so good that dealing with the staff is worth it. But this is not the case. Try N.Y. Pizza in Fern Park or Antonio's or Francesco's in Maitland if you want good Italian food. Skip getting overcharged here.

Very poor quality food. Chicken parm was not edible. Spaghetti & meatballs also horrible. Garlic bread was dry, hard, tasteless. Very poor effort on their behalf. Long time for delivery. It was not worth it. Drive thru somewhere instead of ordering from here.

Service here has always been horrible. We work near so we used to ignore the fact that every time we come in it is the server's first day. Today the food was even slipping. They never bring you the accompaniment s to your meal listed on the menu unless you harass the server for them. They have lost 4 customers for good this time, enough is enough.

Best chicken club wrap I have ever had. My co-workers raved about their storybook. The service was very good as well.

Yum! Delicious New York style pizza! Crust is perfect, delicious tomato sauce and just the right amount of cheese. I'll definitely be back. Reasonable prices too.

My favorite, New York Pizza, in Fern Park was closed on Sunday. We had received a mailing and I had read good reviews in Yelp. So we ordered an 18" Mushroom and Eggplant and asked for it to be done a little crispy. The help was very friendly and nice. Sorry, but the pizza was not good. The crust was kind of soft, even though they baked it on the brick with no screen. Maybe they used soft wheat flour. The texture was wrong. No crunch and chew. The sauce tasted right out of a can. The mushrooms and eggplant were good. Overall it was not very good at all. Without knowing that we ordered, my friend ordered 2 pies on Sunday and he was not impressed either.

This is probably the best NY Style pizza in the Altamonte area. Quick service, hot, fresh, and tasty. Penne with vodka sauce was spicy and flavorful. Absolutely fantastic - can't WAIT to go back!

I've had pizza in NY...HELL I've had it in Italy and this food was legit! Had the meat lovers pizza and mozzarella sticks and all of it was fresh and tasty. The wait staff is very friendly. Our waitress was saundra who was very prompt and eager to help on a busy Friday night. Looking forward to coming back and trying the homemade pasta.

I had a delivery last Wednesday. The food had small portions, my salad and cup was missing. I gave the food back to the delivery driver and didn't sign the receipt. I called back to speak with the manager and I asked for a refund he said no, but he would void it out AND IT HAS BEEN A WEEK LATER AND GUESS WHAT I STILL HAVENT GOT MY MONEY BACK. I will not make a second mistake.

Great pizza, but absolutely horrible service at lunchtime. And if you get the lunch special don't be surprised if they charge you for a drink refill without telling you.

If you are from NY or NJ, this pizza is the best around, there service is hit or miss.
